I started my teaching career in Mountain Village, Alaska teaching grades 7th-12th in one classroom. This is my 22nd year as a teacher. I moved from Youngsville, North Carolina to Paris, Texas in July of 2021 in order to teach 6th grade Science. I am currently the NEHS Sponsor and the UIL Chess Puzzles coach.
I am a US Marine and am very supportive of the veteran community, both locally and nationally. I have lived in Hawaii, Alaska, Japan, and all over the United States. I have two sons and a daughter and son-in-law. I also have one awesome granddaughter. All my kids and my son-in-law are either veterans or active duty in the military.
When I am not teaching, I am hanging out with my family – both human and furbabies –, working in my vegetable gardens, or being active in the American Legion, Marine Corps League, and the Lions Club.
