Hello! My name is Jessica Barber and I am thrilled to be apart of the Crockett family as a sixth year teacher.
I grew up in Bonham, TX and that is where I subsequently graduated high school from. I developed a love of learning throughout my K-12 education. Thus, I went on to attend Austin College in Sherman, TX to pursue a teaching career. I found a love of traveling while attending college as I got the opportunity to study abroad in both Hawaii and Scotland! Family is an important part of my life. I enjoy spending time with both my parents and 2 younger sisters. One of my favorite things about reading is that you can be transported to different times and places, where your imagination can run wild! Some of my favorite books are: Holes, Bridge to Teribithia, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, The Hunger Games, Towers Falling, To Kill a Mockingbird, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, I-survived, and many more! I love all genres but my favorites are Realistic Fiction, Historical Fiction and Mystery.
