NEHS Crockett Toy Drive - November 17, 2023

NEHS is composed of a select group of students based upon their academic achievements, as well as their personal achievements in both the classroom and their communities. We begin regular meetings each year after the UIL A+ Contests have completed. Our School Charter instructs us to complete two service projects each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. As sixth graders, our direct community is Crockett, and we love spending time boosting the moral of all the students. Due to the large number of students in our organization, we split them into four “houses” which represent the four qualities of NEHS.

  • After the first few weeks of school, I (Ms. Wilson) will get with the students to draw for their houses and send home meeting information.
  • Our Fall 2016 Service Project takes place in December with our Annual Bake Sale. The monies raised are donated to a local charity.
  • This year we raised over $650 for The Crockett Closet sponsored by Crockett Intermediate School and The Lamar County Homeless Coalition.
  • We also collected items that were donated to Clothed By Faith. This organization has helped students in need, right here at Crockett.
