The boys had to wear jeans or slacks with a belt. Principal Felix Gibson said he sent many boys home to get a belt if they tried to get by without one. The girls wore dresses. Shorts were for P.E. classes only. The fashions were very different than today.
The cheerleaders wore long sleeve shirts and skirts that went down past their knees. Hair styles were also different from today. Every girl, or so it seemed, had hair that curled under or curled out. They didn't wear nearly the variety of shoes that we wear today. They did wear "cat-eye" glasses, or at least that is what we call them today.
