5th Grade Choir Rotation
The 5th graders rotate through art, band, and choir for 12 weeks each during their 5th grade school year. During choir rotation they work on developing their abilities to work as a cohesive team for successful ensemble performance. Choir students also begin learning how to read music, develop listening skills, use correct singing technique, performance etiquette, and how to perform on a stage.
Ms. Bennett, the choir director at Crockett Intermediate, feels strongly about incorporating movement with music. The students learn some traditional songs with movement games throughout their time in choir rotation. Typically, the students finish the 12 weeks with a performance for friends and family.
