Biography

Mr. Loren Stephens Crockett's principal during the years 1993-2004, retired this past summer after being in the education business for 37 years, the last 11 years at Crockett.

Perhaps his greatest accomplishment while at Crockett has been CATv (a student-produced live television show that airs daily). CATv reminds the students and teachers of upcoming events, shows highlights of previous events, while entertaining them at the same time.

Another accomplishment was the Thursday Times (a weekly parent newsletter where he donated a section called "The Principal's Pen".) Another big achievement that has affected the students the most is the classroom new wing. The new wing was finished during the 2000-01 school year. For the most part, seventh-grade classes are held there. It also includes a new library, band hall, and offices.

website picture9The best of his memories is where the students of the 95 school year gathered in the gymnasium without Mr. Stephens even knowing they were going down the hall. The assistant principal wheeled him into the gym where the kids yelled.
